Ellistree's first war took place during the opening of Ahn'Qiraj. There had been rumors and then confirmation that the Old God C'thun had been gathering forces behind the old Kingdom of the Quiraji and that prompted both the Alliance and the Horde to take action in order to stop him.
Ellistree was a novice at this point and was very excited to be part of the war. However, her status prevented her from seeing much of the frontlines and was moved to grunt duty, gathering supplies and transportation of goods. Regardless, once the actual war began, the factions took all takers, they would need them against the mighty force of the Quiraji and their Old God Masters. While she didn't take part in the final assault, Ellistree did much in the field itself when fighting against the invasion crystals that teleported the armies nearby major cities and locations of interest.
The next war Ellistree participated in was the assault on Outlands. This time around she had done much battling in smaller skirmishes for resources like the Warsong Gulch vying for lumber, or in the Arathi Basin fighting for the rich resources the lands provided. Outlands proved to be a bit too much still for the newly ranked Corporal as she met with beings she had never encountered before as well as her first taste of the formidable Burning Legion. Even so, she fouth in many of the battlezones down to the last bastion against the dreaded Black Temple. Again, she wasn't allowed to take part in the final assault against Illidan, but she still gave it her all against all odds during this particular war.
It was in the third war she participated on that Ellistree's full potential was unleashed. Having participated in many of the war games, and the arena events, she had managed to gain recognition and had climbed the ranks. Now a Lietenant, Ellistree made her way towards the war in the North against the Scourge and the Lich King. She had failed to assist the war effort against the first invasion of the Necropolis due to injuries she had sustained at the beginning so this time she was aching to prove herself against one of Azeroth's darkest foes.
During this particular war, she took part in the major assault such as the destruction of the dread necropolis Naxxaramas, the discovery and exploration expedition in Ulduar and even took part in the Trial of the Crusader set up by the valiant Argent Crusade, the first vanguard against the forces of the Scourge. While her team wasn't the one to deliver the final blow to the dreaded Lich King, she and her assigned squadron were a part of the initial assault against the dark citadel of Icecrown, the Frozen Throne. Her participation in this war made her recognition soar, even if there still was prejudice against people of her background.
The latest war, prior to the discovery of Pandaria, that Ellistree took part in happened unexpectedly when the Cataclysm occurred. While she hadn't planned to take part in any wars at this time, the destruction brought about by the Dragon Aspect of death was too much for her to sit idly on the sidelines. As such, she took up her mantle and arms and made her way to the frontlines alongside the guild she had been part of during the invasion of Northrend. This war had been devastating to both sides and still... And still the opposing factions made things harder by pitching a third point in the war by fighting each other while fighting a much greater threat.
Ellistree didn't take part in the skirmishes against the Horde both out of respect for former allies and out of annoyance that these factions were acting like children in a time that they should had been banding together to ease their losses and defeat Deathwing sooner. Her part in this war was very tiring and heavy, manning the frontlines as both a recon and stealth specialist as well as a field healer. During this time, she focused more on the tasks that would bring them closer to victory than trying to get recognition. At this point in her life, she had realized that the priorities of either faction didn't lie with the people as she had hoped for many years. It had always been discriminatory grudges to which she wanted no part of.
All in all, she took part in the final assault against Deathwing and managed to survive the encounter in the heart of the Maelstrom to bring peace to Azeroth once again. For the time being anyways. Afterwards, Elli had taken retirement until the announcement that a new continent had been discovered and that they were seeking explorers. Thinking that it would be more about exploring that fighting, Ellistree decided to join this expedition into the mysterious continent of Pandaria.
Azeroth had always been a heavily racist world. Even amongst allies, the friendliness can sometimes be out of convenience specially for such races as the Kaldorei, or Night Elves who had mostly always been rather xenophobic, not trusting the 'lesser' races because of their barbaric ways. (This even included the races of the Alliance.)
That said, the fact that Ellistree was not only a half-elf, but that her other half was with a troll of all things was just outrageous and disgusting to most races, in particular to the Night Elves who had always hated the trolls in particular. Even through all of this, she found more solace within the Horde (Before Garrosh became the Warchief) than she did with the Alliance and yet she had chosen to follow her mother's path and serve within the alliance in an attempt to prove herself in a more hard environment against her kin.
She still moonlighted for the Horde, but most of her mission had always been for the Alliance.
Character PERSONALITY:
Ellistree is fierce, playful, independent, confident, flirtatious and very much care free. Nature is her calling and she does as she pleases. Concepts such as personal space, privacy, modesty, nudity, intimacy don't work the same way for her as 'normal' society would.
She loves to tease and if there's something or someone interesting, she'll try her best to get to know them as best she can, including but not limited to being all up in their space, be it as her humanoid form, or her feline form. She'd use her bear form as well if the object, or person in question is large enough to handle it.
Ellistree will go to great lengths to achieve a task that has been given to her, or that she's imposed on herself. Hardly one to give up, you'll have a hard time dissuading this female unless you truly show that what she's after, or what she's doing is wrong int he more natural sense.
All in all, Ellistree is a predator. Her instincts come first and she loves to act on them. If she senses fear, she'll play with the target, if she senses valor, she'll flirt, and tease, if she senses interest, or attraction, she'll play on it so that she can see if the person is worthy of a prime alpha female such as her.
Lover of all that is free and natural in the world, Ellistree is as comfortable in her naked body as anyone would be as a child. She can often be seen bathing in natural water sources, or playing around the forests in nothing but her nature given drapes. However, she's often seen in one of her feral forms more often, mostly in her feline form which she prefers over the others.
Ellistree is, for as aggressive and feral as she can be at times, very comforting and motherly. She is often seen taking over and protecting groups that are innocent or can't fend for themselves. This is especially true in times of war or strife.
In intimacy, Ellistree is aggressive, but she prefers a mate, or lover who can contest her nature. Someone who can take control and try and succeed at taming the wild beast that she is. She doesn't mind someone docile, but she'll want them to challenge her, not wanting to dominate them at all times and trying to teach them to be more assertive and confident in themselves.
Many of Ellistree's worries, even if she'll tell you with a straight face that she has none, lie within insecurity about her heritage. That's not to say she's not proud of who, or what she is, she's very much secure in that regard. But the fact that she's a half breed is already very taxing when she has to deal with the 'civilized' world.
Not often does she let it get to her, but it's very hard for her to keep calm or passive in the face of discrimination, accusation, or people judging her. She would rather hurry out of the area and avoid confrontation seeing as she can be quick to anger.
That being of of the flaws of being half of two very fierce races is her lack of self-restraint. If somehow you managed to push the wrong buttons, the girl has never been able to hold back and this has caused her to harm people she has cared about in the past. Unbeknownst to many, this was one of the factors of her retirement. An incident with a very close friend and lover ended fatally before she could come back to her senses, and ever since then she has beckoned a more relaxed life... Life in Azeroth however doesn't allow for such luxuries.
Unlike some of her peers, Ellistree is fearless in the heart of battle. It's off the battlefields where she feels the most vulnerable. It's really easy to push your feelings aside if you are facing the enemy, it's a much different story when it's just a civilian, let alone a civilian for the faction you are currently working for. Or worked for in this case.
Even so, she does her best to fit in, be the heart of the party, joke, play around and just have fun when she has to venture into a city. And for the most part, she doesn't have to face the things she hates, or fears. Mostly seen as an exotic beauty, at times there's not much other than lecherous cat calls or interested suitors which she politely either flirts with, assesses, or playfully dismisses saying that she's too much for them to handle.
However... there's many times where her heritage is brought into question, many insulting words are tossed at her and her kin and in most locations this occurs she has to grin and bear it, sometimes simply leaving the city without finishing her errands and shedding tears bitterly. Sometimes she wonders why she bothers with such a planet, believing that maybe she should let nature take its course and see if it'll cleanse this world of this filth.
And yet, it's those that do care about her, along with those who are kind to her regardless of who or what she is that she fights for. Often times she'll just retire to nature and prowl around for days in one of her animal forms, feeling that it's much more forgiving than the harsh environment of the mortal races.

[The feed starts with an amused female fiddling about witht he controls before she smiles at you.]
You know, I was sort of wondering when I'd be off in another adventure to another world. Draenor had been interesting to say the least and it opened up the possibility of exploring other worlds and realms as such.
It had always been something that had piqued my interest and what do you know? Exploring a new continent and I end up here. What are the odds hm~?
[Ellistree chuckles lightly before relaxing back against a wall, looking around for a few moments before turning back to the feed.]
Granted... the situation could have been more favorable but... It wouldn't be fun if there wasn't some danger involve and it seems you all have quite a bit of that to go around. In any case, now that I'm here I'll be sure to provide all the assistance I can muster for this fight of yours.
[It's not as if she has much more options. She shrugs and winks before fiddling with the device once more.]
Anyways, I hope to see you all around, those of you who are not native from here. I'd like to know how you feel about all this.
If you need to contact me, I'm Ellistree Moonshadow. I suppose it's a pleasure to meet you all~
[And then the feeds cuts off.]
Third PERSON:
The large saber's paws padded the ground with certainty and yet there was a sort of unease that made Ellistree frown. It wasn't that she was in any immediate danger, she would have sensed it if she was... But there was something about this whole situation that didn't sit right with her. Turning a corner she decided to jump onto a clutter of items and lay down as she looked out into the glum panorama. Definitely not a druid's kind of place...
She let out a small growl akin to a sigh a she rolled over to look at the night sky.
What is it about this place that is making me feel this way? Is it just homesickness? Naw, not this soon. I've been away from home much longer than this... No... I am sure I know what it is... I just don't wish to accept it. This place... is just so barren.
And it was, at least to the level that would make any druid uneasy. It definitely wasn't the dense forests of Ashenvale or the rolling plains of Nagrand. Hell she'd be happy if it was the not-so-barren Barrens! But no, this place full of greys and blacks and dark colors was enough to make the usually energetic girl feel down on the rut.
Frowning and shaking her head, Ellistree rolled back onto her feet and stood stoically, her current feline body looking as powerful as ever as it looked towards the horizon with determination. No, I am Ellistree Moonshadow and I've been through many wars in my short life. I will not bow down or stop moving forward now. I will make myself useful to this world as I did for mine and in the future once all is done I shall return to my own.
With a deep breath, the feral feline let out a resounding roar, a sign of her renewed determination.
